Red Oak Flooring
Lynne and Peter Weil

Two curved transistions to tile, in the dining room and a hallway, added a unique challenge to this project.
We picked a wide curved board to make the borders. Two curved pieces were made from this one board.
A paper pattern was made from the tile edge.

Rebecca cuts the curved boarder.
The angle was needed to fit over the tile cement that formed an uneven edge.

Here is the smaller border at the hallway. The pieces were screwed down.

Rebecca sands the living room floor.

This is the transition to the dining room when finished.
Alex made a quartersawn frame around the stove.
Planks up to 6 inches wide give the floor the wide-plank look.
